Hancock, NY – On Friday, the Hancock Central School District (HCS) celebrated an exciting milestone as every member of the HCS Class of 2025 was officially accepted into SUNY Broome through the College Express Program. This achievement highlights the district’s commitment to the student experience!
Through the College Express Partnership between HCS and SUNY Broome, HCS seniors who apply to the college are guaranteed acceptance. This partnership provides an exceptional opportunity for students to continue their education locally.
"We are thrilled to once again offer this incredible opportunity to our students," said Lori Asquith, Superintendent of Hancock Central School District. "The College Express Program ensures that our students have ongoing support and a plan as they prepare for graduation from HCS; we are immensely proud of our seniors as they take this next important step."
In the coming months, HCS seniors and their families will have the opportunity to participate in multiple careers and college activities with the help of SUNY Broome. This includes a series of campus visits and workshops on topics such as:
Career exploration
Academic advising
Paying for college
Learning assistance
Student engagement
These programs are designed to ensure that every student is fully prepared to make the most of their college or work experience after graduation.
