FUN FRIDAY WITH DR. SEUSS, UPK & KINDERGARTEN!
Our UPK and Kindergarten students had a blast during Fun Friday, keeping the Dr. Seuss Spirit Week excitement going!
They read "Green Eggs and Ham" and even got to make and taste their own green eggs and ham! Plus, they created a Cat in the Hat-themed snack using strawberries and bananas—so much fun and so delicious!

NATIONAL SCHOOL BREAKFAST WEEK!
Our Hancock Elementary students had a fun-filled and enjoyable week celebrating National School Breakfast Week! Each morning, students enjoyed delicious, nutritious breakfasts while receiving special prizes to make the experience even more exciting.

Hancock Central School Introduces Wildcat Bucks and “Triple B” Awards
Hancock Central School is rolling out an exciting new way to encourage positive behavior among students! During this week’s Morning Program, Mrs. Feeney introduced Wildcat Bucks, a new PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) currency designed to reward students for being responsible, respectful, and kind.
Students can earn Wildcat Bucks by demonstrating these positive behaviors throughout the school day. The goal is to motivate students to make good choices while reinforcing the values that help create a supportive and respectful school environment.
In addition to launching Wildcat Bucks, Mrs. Feeney also awarded the first-ever “Triple B” Awards, recognizing one student from each grade for Being Respectful, Being Responsible, and Being Kind. Congratulations to our first recipients!

Hancock Elementary Celebrates Dr. Seuss with Special Breakfast
Hancock Elementary students started their day in a fun and festive way yesterday with a Dr. Seuss-themed breakfast in celebration of Read Across America Week!
Students enjoyed a delicious meal while surrounded by decorations inspired by Dr. Seuss’s beloved books. Staff and students embraced the theme with enthusiasm, wearing Seuss-inspired outfits and sharing their favorite stories. The event not only provided a great start to the day but also reinforced the importance of reading in a creative and engaging way.
Thank you to our amazing food service staff for making this special breakfast possible and to everyone who helped bring the Seuss spirit to Hancock Elementary!










Athletic Teams Stop by Morning Program!
A big thank you to Mr. Gleim and the Hancock Bowling Team for attending last week’s Elementary Morning Program! Mr. Gleim brought a few bowling balls and pins, giving our young Wildcats a hands-on look at how the game is played and explaining the basics of bowling.
We also want to thank Mr. Bedient and the Wrestling Team for stopping by! Mr. Bedient talked about the rules and moves of wrestling, while our wrestlers demonstrated how a match would take place. It was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about the sport!
We appreciate both teams for taking the time to inspire our young Wildcats!

Due to the low temperatures over the next few days, please keep your children inside until the bus arrives, we will wait for them to come out. This may have some of our buses running a few minutes behind, so please be patient.

HCS Announces Successful Completion of District Office Abatement
Greetings Hancock school community,
I am pleased to let you know that the abatement process at the District Office has been successfully completed. Air monitoring conducted throughout and following the mandated process confirmed that the air quality meets all acceptable standards.
Thanks to the diligent efforts of Hancock Central School District staff, in partnership with ServePro and Sunstream Corporation, the abatement process was smooth and efficient. As a result, both the District Office and the Middle/High School were cleared for reoccupation on Sunday, February 16th.
I am grateful for the collaboration and expertise of our partners, as well as the patience and support of our school community during this process. The health and safety of our students, staff, and families remain our top priority, and we are pleased to have ensured a seamless transition back to school!

HONORING SRO BEAVERS ON SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER APPRECIATION DAY
