SOFTBALL BRINGS HOME SECTIONAL TITLE
Congratulations to our D-H Eagles softball team on winning the Section IV Class D Championship earlier today!
The Lady Eagles took home the crown with a 7-0 victory over Richfield Springs/ODY at Greenlight Grand Slam Park earlier this afternoon. Deposit-Hancock had a solid game both offensively and defensively. Sarah Gross went 3 for 4 at the plate, scoring 2 runs. Olivia Johnston and Addison Makowski each picked up 2 hits, with Makowski cracking a homerun. D-H also received hits from Averiona Curtis and Haley Begeal on the day, while Nora Bartholomew scored 2 runs. On the mound, Makowski struck out 14 batters in route to a perfect game!
This marks D-H’s 3rd straight Section IV Class D Championship, and 4th in a row (Class C Champion in 2021). The Lady Eagles will be back at Greenlight this Friday at 5:00 p.m. for their regional match up. Keep it going, girls!!
