Congratulations to the D-H Softball team on their 16-1 win over Windham-Ashland-Jewett in yesterday’s Section IV Class D Softball semi-final! The Lady Eagles scored their runs early, piling up 8 runs in the 2nd inning on a 2 out rally. They tacked on 7 more in the 3rd to put the score at 15-0. Pagen Macumber, Sarah Gross and Addison Makowski each tallied 2 hits and 2 runs in the contest for Deposit-Hancock. On the mound, Aubrey Smith struck out 13 batters, giving up a single run in the complete game win.
With the victory, the Lady Eagles will play in the Section IV Class D Softball Championship Saturday, May 25th, at Greenlight Grand Slam Park in Binghamton. They will take on Richfield Springs/ODY at 2:00 p.m.
