D-H Senior Recognition

Congratulations to the D-H Baseball team on winning their opening sectional match over Richfield Springs-ODY by a score of 11-0 yesterday!

D-H got out to a big lead early, tallying 8 runs in the first inning.  Blake Fortunato went 4 for 4 at the plate, scoring 2 runs and earning 3 rbi. Evan Persbacker went 2 for 2, scoring a run and collecting 1 rbi. Deposit-Hancock also received hits from Lucas Barnes, Zech Begeal, Mark Schloss and Kaden Rynearson on the day. Fortunato, Persbacker and Tyler Reis split duties on the mound, giving up 0 hits and striking out 8 in 5 innings of work.

Before the contest, we held our senior recognition for our student-athletes.  We want to recognize the following Seniors from Deposit and Hancock for your years of dedication:

Hancock: Angel Diaz, Evan Persbacker, Logan Westbrook

Deposit: Zech Begeal, Thomas Reis, Derrick White

Thank you and congratulations!  D-H Baseball is playing again Wednesday, May 22, in Hancock for their sectional semi-final. They will take on #5 seeded Edmeston-Morris, who beat #4 seed Gilboa-Windham 5 to 3 yesterday.  Let’s go, Eagles!
