Mrs. Amber Dennis teaches 5th and 6th grade ELA and reading. Mrs. Dennis also organizes the Middle School Spelling Bee, which takes place in January.

Mrs. Roberta Vasconi-Smith is the Middle School Literacy Specialist, and Mrs. Denise Dirig teaches 7th and 8th grade English.

Mrs. Carmella Bullick teaches English 9 and SAT Preparation. Ms. Bullick and Ms. Kristy White co-teach one class of English 9 and one class of English 12.

Mrs. Monica Tarantino teaches English 10 and Journalism and co-teaches one class of English 10 with Ms. White. She is the English Department Curriculum coordinator and advises the school newspaper, Cat Tales.

Mrs. Mary Norris teaches English 11 and 12 and is co-adviser, with Mrs. MaryLynn Sowizral, of the HCS Student Council.
